Marcus Chmaj once again is returning as Head Varsity Football Coach in which he has football coaching related for more than 10 years on different levels: youth football, middle school football, and high school varsity football team. He was a football player at Gallaudet University as a linebacker. Currently, he is coaching a 3rd/4th grade/Youth RIVERSIDE RAPTORS, which is under Inland Empire Lacrosse League Association (IELA). He has a passion to build CSD Riverside football program and see it built with strength, confidence, and pride on and off field. With the goal in mind, he wants to focus on small details and those will help players become bigger, faster, and stronger players. Welcome back, Marcus.
Michelle Skowgird, ’08 alumnae at Rochester Institute of Technology, Bachelor science (BS) degree in sports science, psychology and fine arts where she had a lot of experience in volleyball for five years as a middle blocker and right hitter, is a returning Head Varsity Volleyball. She has been coaching CSD Riverside Volleyball as a head coach, which is her 8th year in the fall. She also hosted two huge volleyball events: SportsMax Beach Volleyball Tournament in Huntington Beach, CA. Not only beach volleyball events, she also hosted a 2014 Gallaudet University Volleyball Summer camp here at CSD Riverside. She was a 2013 Deaflympics Beach Volleyball player with her volleyball partner, Shana Lehmann in Bulgaria. Roll your short sleeves, Michelle!
Don Cochran is a returning coach as a Cross Country Head Coach. He has been coaching for cross country for 10 years. As a cross country runner in high school, he had the most inspiring experience that encouraged him to p develop his passion in coaching cross country, which is kind of a long story. Still, it is about consistency, commitment, diligently hard work, and endurance. From his experience, he wants his student athletes/runners to have that success. He knows and has faith in them that they can accomplish. He is always enjoying, coaching and running with them.
Stacey Hausman began her coaching at CSD Riverside 20 years ago as a Cheer coach. To this day, she is still (well, always) excited to return and coach her cheer team. A few months ago, her former cheerleaders along with Stacey’s assistant coaches, Tanya and David, threw a surprise a 20 year cheer coaching celebration. Anywhere and even here, you would find that she is a full on cheer coach because she has such a zestful spirit. Give us your zestful spirit, Stacey!
