First victory at HOME.
In the 1st quarter, Upland Christian (UC) started the game off with a 4-0 run, but CSDR quickly answered with a 10-0 run of their own, and the Cubs led at the end of the first quarter, 10-4.
During the second quarter, CSDR kept moving the ball well and played some great defense. The Cubs continued to hold on the lead, and by halftime, the score was 19- 8.
In the 3rd quarter, CSDR changed their defense to see if it worked. Upland Christian found their rhythm and had a BIG 12-0 run; however CSDR still held on to their lead. The score was 26-24 at the end of the third quarter.
In the 4th quarter, CSDR remained calm and poised and played their game. As a result, the Cubs captured their first league victory, 38-30.
“It was a good win because it was our first league game against the undefeated league champion from last year. UC swept us last year, and they lost just two players. We still have a lot to work on the offense game, especially our passing game; however our defense remains a strength.”
CSDR (3-2) will play in another league game against La Sierra Academy at 6:00 pm on Thursday, December 10, at La Sierra Academy.
