Greeting CSD-Riverside Community,

Yesterday (February 11th), we had our final home wrestling matches, Arrowhead League Wresting Individual Tournament. Our 12 wrestlers wrestled against NuView Bridge, Santa Rosa Academy, Hamilton, and Excelsior. Only top three in each weight class will attend to CIF Southern Section Individual Tournament for Inland Division., which will be at Temecula Valley High School on February 20th and 21st.

We are proud of our wrestlers who fought hard and earn their places, only 10 out of 12 are qualified for the CIF-SS Individual Tournament. We have 8 first placers, 1 second placer, and 1 third placer.

Giovanni Sanchez (195lbs)

Rogelio Maciel was selected to receive “Most Outstanding Wrestler – Upper Weight Class” award.

Also, bittersweet, we recognized our senior wrestlers who worked hard with us for this season:

Wayne Aguirre, Rogelio Maciel, Brendan Busch, Joel Ramos, Hiroshi Nakama, Giovanni Sanchez, Laura Vera, Carlos Cardenas, Eason Huerta, Matthew Rojas, and Hector Sanchez.
