Greeting CSDR Community,

We, Wrestling Coaches, are pleased with our wrestlers’ performance on Saturday, February 7th. We have two different tournaments on that weekend, CIF-Southern Section Duals Tournament at Redondo Union High School and Girls CIF-SS Qualifying Meet – Southern at Upland High School.

Our girl wrestler, Laura Vera, is the first girl who entered for the Girls CIF-SS Qualifying Meet – Southern to see if she will qualify for the Girls CIF Championship Meet, unfortunately, Laura did not qualified for the next tournament. However, please do praise for her efforts!

As for the Duals Tournament, we are truly proud of our wrestlers! Our seeding was 13th and we wrestled against Calvary Chapel of Downey. We beat them 60-20. Then our next match, we wrestled against #3 seeded Bassett and we beat them in very close game. Thanks to Rogelio Maciel for giving us a final win, 41-36. We made it to top 4, then we wrestled against Shadow Hills (again) and we lost to them, 6-68 which is better than last time (0-75).

The final rankings will be announced within 2 weeks.

So please share your congratulations toward our wrestlers who fought hard and put our school on the map.
