Hello CSD-Riverside Community,
Last week our ASBG Director of Athletics Noah Valencia announced to HS students that Catalina Romero was selected as Student/Athlete of the Month for the month of December. Here are comments from her cheerleading coach, Stacey Hausman:
This is “Cat’s” first year on the CSD Cubs Cheer Team, and she has already earned a spot on the Varsity team. She is currently earning a 3.36 GPA. She is able to manage the work load of Honors classes in addition to cheer practice, gymnastics classes, and supporting fall and winter games. Cat is a wonderful example of Character Counts. She is responsible for her uniform and behavior; you can trust that she will be at every practice and game; she is fair to everyone on the team, regardless of their skill level; she is always respectful to adults and peers alike; it is obvious that she cares about her school work and the cheer team; and she is a great citizen. She is a wonderful example of what a CSD-R student-athlete should be like.
Stacey
Please congratulate Catalina Romero on this fine recognition.
