Yesterday we had our League #4 Track & Field meet here at CSDR. We competed against Hamilton. Before the meet, Hamilton and CSDR were undefeated teams in the Arrowhead League. We lost to Hamilton. Boys, 51 – 87; Girls 42 – 78. The record for boys is 3-1 and girls, 2-3.

Boys

There were 15 events. Hamilton finished 1st place in all events except two. First, Brendan Busch finished 1st place in discus with 103’ 10”. Joel Ramos finished 2nd place with 97’ 7”. Secondly, we beat Hamilton in 4 x 100m Relay. CSDR boys’ time was 47.33 and Hamilton was 48.16.

Mavrick Fisher improved his best personal time for 1600m. Last time he ran 5:25. Yesterday he finished 3rd place in overall with 5:12.

Jose Garcia tried long jump for the first time. Surprisingly, he was 3rd place in LJ with 15’6.5”.

Rogelio Maciel and Marquise Weathersby consistently improved their time in 100m. Rogelio, 11.42 and Marquise 11.90.

Girls

Revelin finished first place in shot put and discus. Her shot put was 32’4”. She is very close to break CSDR record, 34’5”. Her discus, 82’11”. She broke CSDR record, 78’3.5”.

Sara Wnek finished 1st place in 100 hurdle with 19.09.

Alana Smith finished 1st place in 400m with 1:09.12. She also finished 1st place in 200m with 28.34.

Next track & field meet is this Saturday at MLK. MLK hosts “Riverside City Champions” track & field. Last year we were champions for small school. We are defending champions and hoping to grab that title again this Saturday.
