CSDR Staff,

Unseeded CSDR defeated #11 Tarbut V’Torah, 49-38 in first game of CIF Division 5A playoff in Irvine last night (Thursday). We played well as team and we never looked back after they led, 2-1. We led 29-19 at half time and we led by 15 points until they used man to man defense with 4 minutes to go in 4th period and they tried to put pressure on us but we kept our composure and finished the game in our favor. Alexa Muller led with 16 points and hauled down 22 rebounds. Kathleen Lopez finished with 13 points and 18 rebounds. Sara Wnek scored 10 points but she worked hard to haul down 18 rebounds and dished out 10 assists. I am happy for the team as they are excited about the chance to play in 2nd round game this Saturday and it will be at CSDR! We will play against either unseeded New Road of Santa Monica or seeded #6 Holy Martyr of Encino. We will know the time of game and will send out an announcement once we know the answer on Friday.
