Yesterday on Sunday CSDR hit a jackpot when our Deaf Academic Bowl won the Western Regional Deaf Academic Bowl AND CSDR Girls Basketball team was invited to the CIF Playoff – Division 5A! I am happy for our team because with just six players on the team they worked hard to earn the privilege to play in the playoff. We will play Tarbut V’Torah of Irvine this Thursday at 7 pm at their court. We have played them twice in the past three years in the playoff and last year we beat them in the first round. CIF playoff the admission fee, I believe, is $8 for adult. If we win we will advance to next round on Saturday, Feb. 22nd.

By the way, congratulation to our Deaf Academic Bowl team for outstanding performance and they advance to national competition at Gallaudet University this April! I hope our girls basketball team will do the same when we play this Thursday! Go CUBS Go!
