Raymond Nelson – Basketball

Raymond Nelson has been selected as the student-athlete of the month for February. He helped CSDR to win the first CIF Playoff game in school history.  He made the last shot at the buzzer to seal the victory. He finished the game with 19 points and 12 rebounds. CSDR advanced to the 2nd round, but lost to Orangewood Academy.  Raymond had an outstanding performance with 29 points and one monsturous dunk that electrificied the crowd.  Congratulations to Raymond Nelson.

Steven Gonzales – Track

Steven Gonzales has been selected as the student-athlete of the month for March.  He participated in the 800m and 3200m run and won both events on March 17th and March 31st.  He devoted substantial energy and time during practice each day.  He is the first person to show up at practice and the last person to leave.  Steven  is also a good student and well respected by his peers and teachers.  Congratulations to Steven Gonzales.

Montana Murphy – Softball

Montana Murphy has been selected for the student-athlete of the month for April. Montana is an excellent student with 4.0 GPA.  So far this season, she has 47 strike outs and 27 hits.   In additon, she helped the team win a big upset game against California School for the Deaf- Fremont.  The team went on to finish in 4th place at Hoy Classic and she was selected on the 1st team All-star honor.  Congratulations to Montana Murphy – a job well done!
