Last Friday November 2nd, our very own special athletics played volleyball against RUSD teams from all over the area.

Our Elementary team learned about teamwork and great sportsmanship while playing four different local teams. During the four games they battled hard and kept the ball in play a great deal of the time. They worked hard and were very motivated even through the chilly morning. There were 10 school playing in the elementary area.

Our Middle School team played many games and showed great care for the other teams they played. They worked hard fighting for CSDR to win.

Our High School team played four games and won all games showing pride and smiles the entire day.

Overall 450 students played volleyball at CSDR including our very own teams elementary, middle school, and high school levels. There were approximately 700 visitors on campus total for this event.

Thanks again to PE and APE staff for helping with teaching our students how to play, for helping us set up, and allowing Special Athletics to use the areas. Thank you also to Nancy and Alvin for setting up the MAC. Thank you to the SN teachers and aides for supervising and keeping our students and the visitors safe and enjoying all the fun!
