Hello Everyone!
Nearly everyday I interact with people like parents and staff who are also our athletics coaches for our Elementary and Middle School Sports program. I know sometimes they do not get the recognition that they deserve. They are some of the most valuable “teachers” our students will ever have.

I see these people trying to teach and help many young players develop specific skills in particular sports (flag football, cheerleading, tackle football, and volleyball) while also learning the lifelong skills of leadership, discipline, health and conditioning, good competitive spirit, and the ability to accept loss without bitterness while keeping up their determination to improve in the future.

Our coaches work hard, often coming to practice after spending a full day at other jobs. Some of them work odd hours during the playing seasons, traveling with the teams and supervising the students on the road trips.   However, their efforts are worth it and we can see the fine results of their hard work in the performance of our student athletes.

I’m a big fan of all of our teams, as everyone knows! But the reason I’m a fan is not because of the victories, but because I see how well our students have prepared for the games.  I know the dedication that students and coaches put forth in practice. On our campus I see some of our High School students are now varsity players in sports because of the Elem/Middle School Sports program!  That is why I’m a fan and why I want to take this opportunity to thank our coaches:

Keith Adams and John Hencker for the JV Division K-1 st grade flag football team

Todd Williams and Marcus Chmaj for the 3rd and 4th grade flag football team

Erica Hall and Gabriel Delgado for the 1st and 2nd grade cheerleader team

Fred Weiss and Max Andrade for the 5th and 6th grade flag football team

SuzAnne McDonald and Erica Hall for the 3rd-5th grade cheerleader team

Nancy Moore and Glenna Krauss for the Middle School volleyball team

Ramy Bustamante, Brian Goodloe, and Ken Andrews for the Middle School tackle football team

Without these people we would not be able to have a successful Elem/MS SPORTS program!

I’m asking all of you (TEACHERS, STAFF, STUDENTS, PARENTS, FRIENDS) to come out to root for our teams! We need YOU! YOU are a source of great joy and encouragement for our student athletes and coaches.

Coaches, please come to my office in Pachappa 1 on Wednesday, November 4, from 1:00pm to 5:00pm to grab some goodies, fruits, drinks as we show our appreciation for your hard work! Come on ya all, CHEER and ROOT for us! GO RED RAGE!
