The winner of student-athlete for the month of October is Jeanyssa Cobateja. Jeanyssa is an outstanding student with an impressive 4.0 GPA. She shows up to every practice on time and gives 100%. During one practice Jeanyssa sprained her ankle but continued to practice to the best of her ability. She even performed at a competition and a game through her pain. She has attended almost every football game, making sure she has arranged that her parents come to pick her up all the way from Barstow. Jeanyssa is a wonderful example of an all around student-athlete, and we are extremely proud to have her on the Cheer team.
