CSDR Athletics is proud to announce the student-athlete of the month for October. The winner is Claudia Renee Atkinson. Claudia is a sophomore and has a 2.71 GPA. Claudia has really improved over the last few weeks. She has memorized all the dances and cheers. In addition, she has begun to take on a leadership role. At the beginning of the season, she was absent with the flu and made sure that she caught up with all of her missing school work while still attending practices.

She is a dorm student and has had issues with transportation, but works to make sure that she attends the football games on Fridays, even it means she is not able to go home for the weekend. Claudia is a great example of what a Cheer member should strive to be.
