CSDR girls basketball lost to CMI, 29-27 in overtime. CMI’s physicality made it difficult for our girls to score inside. We had many scoring opportunities that would have resulted in easy layups but instead we missed too many of them. We led after first period, 9-8 then at halftime they led 16-15. Second half was all about defense. CMI attempted to shoot the last shot but time expired. In overtime, we ran out of gas when they scored first 4 points before we scored 2 points. Last one minute both of us did not score any points. I am proud the way the team fought throughout the game.

Alexa Muller led with 12 points and Sara Wnek hauled down 15 rebounds. Overall record is 3-1 and league record is 2-0. Tomorrow on Tuesday we play Pomona Catholic in a league game at 6pm in the Cave.
