Hello CSD Riverside Community,
I’m so excited to inform you all last week that our 2 volleyball teams, our football/cheer team won all of their home games! Our coaches are excited to share their summaries below.

MS Tackle Football Victory:
We traveled to a powerhouse team, Calvary Chapel Murrieta! Cole Burton made 4 touchdowns. Cody Metzner made a 2 point conversion.
Our defense did an excellent job for stopping them. We forced them to punt for the first time. Our defense forced them to fumble many times but only recovered the fumble one time. Christian Marquez made many tackles.
We won the game by the score of 26 to 18. We led the game all the way until the last few minutes of the game and they scored 2 more touchdowns!
Our boys were so thrilled that they won for the first time. They told us that they felt good!

For our next game, we will travel to Bloomington Christian this Thursday at 3:30pm!

6/7th Grade Girls Volleyball Triumphs in their First Victory over Packinghouse- September 14
Our team is off to an extraordinary season start with their first victory! It is not just that the girls are winning, but how they are winning. Determination, passion and spirit combined with the talent are just some of the reasons that are worth for watching the games.
The game scores were 16-25, 24-26, 25-23, 25-21 and 18-16. (3-2 – Game results.) After losing the first two sets, our girls were back to their typical rotation. Our 7th grade girls served and made a lot of points for the team. Gisella Visco (20) and Enza Visco (2) made 21 points each in the entire game. Bree Goldstein (11) has rescued the ball multiple times at the game.
Player of the game goes to Gisella Visco. She helped the game’s victory with her startlingly serves. Besides a fierce volleyball player, her spirit and performance on the court was a big part of our game triumph.

Our next game against Redlands B will be on Tuesday, September 20th @ 5:00 pm in the MAC gym. Come and watch our 6/7th grade team!

8th Grade Girls Volleyball Game #1 on Tuesday, September 13th
After a month of practicing, we, the 8th grade volleyball team, finally made our first debut against Crossroads Christian yesterday. Turns out we both are new to this league. We took that as our advantage; we quickly took a huge lead by serving aggressively. That continued throughout the entire game (25-6, 25-4, 25-18). 3-0 game results. They just couldn’t handle our serving. Great start to our season!
The player of the game award goes to Zola MacAulay who had served 11 times in a row and carried the team to our first victory!

8th Grade Girls Volleyball Game #2 on Thursday, September 15th
We were looking forward to playing Woodcrest Christian, a team with skills and experience all week! In the first set, we played with ease as we served aggressively, winning the first set 25-13. We went into the second set, thinking we would win again, but unfortunately we were not able to stop a certain opponent player’s strong serving. By the time we got our groove back, we just could not catch up in time. In the third set, we played a bit better, but that still was not enough for us to win. In the fourth set, the girls fired up and turned everything around! They now could receive, pass, execute and serve accordingly, nabbing the win 25-19! Having earned this momentum helped with the final match even though at one point, we were down by 5 points. Regardless, we kept our cool, played smart and ended it 16-14! What a long, nerve wrecking game!
The player of the game award goes to Jayda Norris, who’s contributed a lot to team defense! Our record now stands at 2-0.
We play Calvary Murrieta at 3:30PM this Tuesday @ MAC. Come watch us play!
