The last night’s game between CSDR and Hamilton were in a heat battle at the beginning of the game and tied the game, 17 – 17 in the first quarter.

In the second quarter, CSDR gained the lead after scoring another 15 points and held Hamilton to 10 points. The score was 32-27 at halftime.

In the 2nd half, we made an adjustment on defense and held Hamilton to ONLY 10 points in 2nd half. We kept control of the game and continued to score. As a result, CSDR won a big league game with the score of 59-37.

Noah Valencia played like an all star scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. Also helping the effort for CSD-Riverside Boys Basketball were Alan Alcocer (11 points and 4 rebounds), Nathaniel Humpal (10 points and 10 rebounds), Chris Jacobs (8 points, 8 rebounds), Desean Welch (4 points and 7 rebounds). Other players such as Ermias Thomas and Adonis Tauvalaau who contributed in other areas.

“Tonight” our team was different, some players really stepped up in their own ways and our defense was superb. It was a real pleasure to see the team win by 22. The experience we played at Clerc Classic really helped us perform better. As a result of this, we have won 3 straight games in a row. I don’t recall winning 3 games in a row during my coaching career.

CSDR will host Upland Christian tomorrow night at 6pm. Upland Christian remains undefeated (7-0) in our league. Upland Christian beat us last month at their court, 59 – 47. We hope to carry the intensity we have now to prepare for this big game tomorrow night. Come and support us.
