CSD-Riverside Boys Varsity Basketball Falls Short Against Academy Of Academic Excellence (1st game)
CSD Riverside fell to Academy of Academic Excellence on Wednesday, 56-44, even with Noah Valencia scoring 25 points. Academy of Academic Excellence clinched their lead in the third quarter on a three-pointer from Michael Aoun.

CSD-Riverside finished the first half leading 20-17 on the strength of a 15-0 run. But this wasn’t enough to overcome Academy of Academic Excellence’s 39 points in the final two quarters of the game. Despite a strong finish, with 15 points in the final quarter, CSDR failed to secure the win.

Valencia led the charge for CSD-Riverside’s offense, scoring 25 points, with 13 points during the fourth period. He also contributed nine rebounds and four steals.
Austin Marquez hit two three-pointers and scored seven points total. Also chipping in for CSDR V BB were Christian Jacobs (6 points, 4 rebounds), Mavrick Fisher (4 points, 9 rebounds), and Alan Alcocer (2 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals).

CSDR finished the game with 34 rebounds (nine offensive/25 defensive), one block, and nine steals.
“It was a tough loss, we just beat ourselves; however I was very pleased with what I saw because I know our boys have a lot of potential. But we have a lot of work to do,” stated Coach Hamilton.

The CSDR Boys’ Varsity Basketball team will play again on Thursday, Dec. 4, at 4 p.m. against Silver Valley in Apple Valley.

Noah Valencia finished with 27 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. We came back strong in 4th quarter after scoring 21 points but it was not enough to seal the victory.

CSD-Riverside Boys Basketball Falls Short Against Excelsior (3rd game)
In a great showing, Noah Valencia scored 25 points, but this was not enough as CSD-Riverside fell to Excelsior 49-41.
Making 62% (5-for-8) of free throws attempted, Valencia had a great game from the line for CSD-Riverside.
Also contributing for CSD-Riverside were Mavrick Fisher (5 points, 9 rebounds), Nathaniel Humpal (4 points, 8 rebounds), Christian Jacobs (3 points, 5 rebounds), Adonis Tauvalaau (2 points) and Desean Welch (2 points, 2 rebounds).
CSD-Riverside finished the game with 53 rebounds (25 offensive/28 defensive), two blocks and nine steals.
The CSD-Riverside (0-3) will have other game, December 6 at 4:00 p.m. against Chapel Calvary Moreno Valley.

CSD-Riverside Boys Basketball Emerges Victorious Against CCMV (5th Place game)
Mavrick Fisher scored 13 points, helping CSD-Riverside notch a 52-15 victory over CCMV on Sunday.
CSD-Riverside concluded the first half 27-10 on the heels of a 20-4 run. With 16 points in the third quarter, CSD-Riverside added to their existing lead.
Fisher led the charge for CSD-Riverside’s offense, scoring 13 points, with nine points during the first period. He also contributed 10 rebounds and two steals.
Also chipping in for CSD-Riverside were Christian Jacobs (9 points, 11 rebounds, 3 steals), Jacob Weiss (9 points, 4 rebounds, 5 steals), Nathaniel Humpal (6 points, 8 rebounds, 1 steal, 2 blocks), Desean Welch (5 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 block), Austin Marquez (5 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals), Adonis Tauvalaau (2 points, 1 rebound) and Ermias Thomas (2 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals).
CSD-Riverside finished the game with 61 rebounds (28 offensive/33 defensive), three blocks and 22 steals.

The CSDR Boys’ Varsity Basketball team will travel on Monday, Dec. 8, at 3:30 p.m. against Boys Republic at La Sierra Academy Tournament
