Seeded #6 Holy Martyr broke out the logjam when they started to hit long range shots including 4 treys in second half to shot down our attempt to win the game. CSDR took the lead at halftime, 16-14 as both of teams played outstanding defense. When second half came, Holy tightened the defense on us and made many long shots. We did not have answer for them. We finished the season with 11-8 record. I am very proud of our team for sticking together with just 6 players on the team throughout the season. The team’s character and teamwork helped us throughout the season.

I want to congratulate senior Sara Wnek who worked hard to become better player but also being a leader on the team. With Sara’s leadership, the team developed team cohesiveness. I am proud of her for making all efforts to become better person and leader on the team.

I cannot say how much I enjoyed working with team and assistant coaches, Ida Dotson and Ryan Baldiviez. Team has developed great team character and we grew together as team unit. The team learned the team cohesiveness helped us competing better. Five players will return along with other high school girls who have said they want to play basketball next year. I am confident we can produce another outstanding season next year.

Thank you all for support of our team and players do tell me they appreciated the support from you and the community. There is nothing better than having support from everyone around us.
